The UCF Symphonic Orchestra recently delighted some music-loving residents in Winter Garden. They performed at the Evening at the Pops
concert at Newton Park on March 2.
The music accompanied by a gorgeous sunset over Lake Apopka was the perfect setting for the special evening. They played a unique range of
pieces, including “Carmen Fantasy” and selections from “The Empire Strikes Back” and “The Sound of Music.”

Families of all ages could be seen bringing their chairs and blankets out to the lawn to enjoy the music. The large orchestra played under
an illuminated, white tent that protected their instruments in case any elements rolled through.

That was not the case, however, as Conductor Chung Park led the orchestra through the arrangement of music under a beautiful night
sky. The Rotary Club of Winter Garden were the presenters of the concert.
