A major advancement in medical treatment is coming for Winter Garden residents. In about two years, those who live in the city will not
have to travel outside of it to receive inpatient care.

On March 14, AdventHealth broke ground on the latest part of their medical complex that is located at Fowler Groves across from Winter
Garden Village. When complete, it will be a 100-bed, seven-story, 300,000 square foot building.

The facility is the perfect complement to AdventHealth’s preexisting 24-bed emergency room and the medical office building. The projections
on expansion call for the creation of 700 jobs at an average salary of
$60,000.

The first phase of the AHWG center added 200 jobs and that number has since increased with the opening of the office building. By the end of
the year, they will have treated over 100,000 patients.

All of the progress at AHWG has been necessary due to the rapid growth of Winter Garden. Now, local patients will be able to be treated
closer to home, which is a win for all parties.
