Winter Garden officials are considering plans for new commercial development. VMG Construction is looking to rezone property, just under a half-acre in size, that is located at 43 First Street.
The proposal calls for the land to change from being designated as Arterial Commercial District to Planned Commercial Development. VMG has plans to construct a one-story, 3,400 square foot office building that will serve as their headquarters.
The plan also calls for new parking, sidewalks, drive aisles and landscaping. In the future, space could also house others looking for office space.
There is a masonry commercial office building and a warehouse building currently on the property. Winter Garden leaders have recommended the plan’s approval and a second reading of the ordinance is set for March 28.
