As they look to open a new headquarters, construction management firm Johnson-Laux Construction is returning to its origins in Winter
Garden. They are working on building out a 20,000 square foot facility at 650 Garden Commerce Parkway that is scheduled to be finished in
April.

Johnson-Laux deals with a variety of industries, including health care, aviation, government, commercial, retail, hospitality, education
and industrial manufacturing. They handle job order, general contracting, construction management, renovations and brand-new
construction.

When Johnson-Laux was founded in 2000, their first office was in Winter Garden, but they had since moved to Orlando near the Florida
Mall. They originally started with health care and government building, but have branched out since.

Company Vice President Kevin Johnson has lived in the area since 1999 and touted Winter Garden’s location and ease of access via the
Turnpike, State Road 429 and the East-West Expressway as reasons for the move. Johnson-Laux will only use 8,000-10,000 square feet of the
building and lease the other space out to other tenants.
