AdventHealth Winter Garden is getting ready to undergo major expansion projects and they have a new CEO help them along in the growth process. AdventHealth Centra Care Director of Operations Carl Dupper will begin running what is now a freestanding emergency room on
January 21.
Dupper is taking over for Tim Clark, who will remain as CEO of AdventHealth’s Apopka hospital. Clark said in a statement that he is confident his predecessor has the leadership skills and understanding of health care operations to thrive in the role.

Dupper comes on board at a time when exciting changes are coming for AdventHealth Winter Garden. They have plans for a 100-bed inpatient tower to be added to the property at 2000 Fowler Grove Blvd.
There is no planned timeline for construction, but the 300,000 square foot facility is projected to add 700 hospital jobs with an average annual salary of $64,480. Overall, the patient tower is expected to create over 5,500 direct, indirect and induced jobs.
The $65 million freestanding ER building for AdventHealth Winter Garden originally opened in 2016. It added $14 million in annual
payroll and 269 new jobs for the area.
In addition to the ER and patient buildings, there is a three-story medical office building that is currently under construction. It is
expected to cost $7 million.
