One of the more successful, longest-running restaurants in downtown Winter Garden is being sold. After 15 years, owner Lori Gibson is parting with her local restaurant and wine bar, The Attic Door.
Fortunately, the popular place that also regularly hosts live music acts is not going away. The Attic Door is being purchased by local restauranteurs Laurie and Kevin Tarter.

The Tarters already own two downtown Winter Garden restaurants, Chef’s Table at the Edgewater and The Tasting Room. They plan to keep most of the menu items and the décor of The Attic Door intact.
In addition to keeping with what has made it a hit, they will also be adding a daytime tea room. The Attic Door will also now be available to rent out for bridal showers, baby showers and other events.
During the day, they will serve a menu of scones, finger sandwiches and mini desserts. At night, they will be sticking with Attic staples, while adding their own recipes, including gluten-free and keto choices.
Live music will continue to be highlighted several nights a week and Trivia Night will also stay. The sale officially goes through on January 1 and the Tarters will open the doors for the first time as owners on January 4.
