A new breakfast eatery will soon be available to residents of Winter Garden. Eggs and Oats is coming to downtown in the former Selma Singapore spot on West Plant Street.

Co-owners Andrew Beal and David Murray-Lyons are working on changes to the space and hope to open by mid-July. They have known each other for around two decades and have both been involved in the restaurant business.

Eggs and Oats will have seating indoors and outdoors. The restaurant has plans for a coffee bar and a grab-and-go area.

The goal of Eggs and Oats plans to use the best ingredients and serve healthy options. They also will have biscuits and classic breakfast pastries.

The full menu is still being worked on, but eaters can expect items like omelets, oatmeal and grits. There will also be a few lunch items available.

Beal and Murray-Lyons hope to be able to find local sources for food and other restaurant needs. A local company, Fake Productions, already donated wood that was used to build tables.
