A Winter Garden property owner is unhappy with their insurance company after they allegedly failed to pay for water damage repairs. Virginia Cruz-Seda is suing her liability insurer, Security First Insurance Company, for breach of contract.

She filed her complaint in Orange County Circuit Court on October 4. According to the legal documents, her home at 14722 Siplin Road had water damage caused by a discharge from the kitchen.

Cruz-Seda says she quickly made her claim about the loss. She says that Security First has failed to pay the total amount and that they have refused coverage.

She is seeking a trial by jury, damages of over $15,000, court costs and attorney fees. Cruz-Seda is represented by attorneys Hunter Patterson, Alicia Perez and Michael Patrick of the Orlando-based Strems Law Firm.
