One Winter Garden family now has a new beginning. West Orange Habitat for Humanity welcomed Victoria Grace and her three children to their new home last month.

The home-dedication ceremony was held in front of dozens of WOHFH partners, volunteers and community members. Grace partnered with the
organization over a year ago to get her home at Green Oaks Row in east Winter Garden.

There are now three single mothers who have teamed up with WOHFH to build homes in the area. The homeownership model through Habitat for Humanity requires 300 hours of sweat equity and attendance at homeownership and financial-literacy classes.

The HOH partners also must put a down payment down and pay back an
interest-free mortgage.

Grace and her family spent several years bouncing around to various living arrangements. She was able to fulfill her sweat equity obligation working at the local HFH while holding a full-time job at a real estate agency, serving at Mosaic Church and raising her family.
